New York Central Park Impressionist Art

by Adan Lerma

Press Release  -  March 25, 2008

WEBWIRE  -  Austin, Tx. - March 25, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Central Park, synonymous with New York.

Adan's impressionist paintings come both from, photo images from friends and his son visiting the park, and from direct visits of his own.

Austin, Tx. - March 25, 2008 - From spring time to a record cold period in March of last year, each image blends the park's beautiful co-existence with the buildings surrounding it.

"Exploring Central Park was something I always had to do, beginning with the first time I came to New York, taking a bus the whole way from Houston.  I was about 20," says Adan.  "Later, when we came to exhibit in the National Stationery Show in the late 90's, and ArtExpo '07, my wife Sheila and I always made it a prominent point to see and be in the park."

He and his wife's experience and love of the city, which shows in his art, goes beyond the usual whirlwind of arts and theatre, extending to enjoying a rousing session of Jazzercize in Tribeca.

artist commentary:
march 25 '08

such a vast and wonderful city, in size, in scope, in people, and, in opportunity

though i've no reviews yet of any music or movies experienced there yet, i of course having a fairly detailed account of the art show, artexpo from last yr, mentioned in the news release above, including a one-year-later review of the review looking back  :-)

most of my new york related work has been my paintings; and this week i wrote my first ny related poem

hopefully, over time, i'll have the opportunity to both write & paint more of this fabulous city of ours

thanks ya'll,

adan

ps - the next release should focus on my sports poetry, including "basketball"; in time for the upcoming Final Four
