Artist's Comment: one of my favorite poems of the early 90's; it worked well off the pen with intent, decent imagery and flow; makes me stop at the wonder of how the creative juice aligns so well sometimes with one's hoped for result and original intent

Determination
Determination
is the air that circulates
and fuels a fire.
It feeds the burning leaving
little waste.
If you stack your wood right,
plan your project so you can circulate
your air of determination
at just the right times and places --
if you know what creatures you
want your fire to keep out and
what creature you may want
beside you; if you know
your goals, then you
know how hot you
need to fan
yourself to---
Don’t then,
be bound and determined.
Unbind yourself!
Let your resolve float.
Kindle those loose bits of rising
chips bursting - sparking the vision
of your goals.
