Artist's Comment: originally written about 14 years ago just to have fun trying to say what angel humor might be like from our human point-of-view, i felt now it best suited the mischievious playfulness of most children, even our most angelic :-)
i'll be writing more i hope about this in a new poem in mind titled, "innocence of heart"
i guess the angelic theme, or that we are of the angels, runs strongly enough in my writings it shows up even in writings of a newborn, such as in "angel baby"

Angel Humor - Children
Unfortunately,
angel humor is not
always as obvious as,
why are the devil’s comments
always so pointed?
They’re more subtle.
Like, how many angels does
it take to turn on the daylight?
One.
All it has to do is smile.
But more importantly, angel
humor never ever means to
harm or insult with malice.
Even if some onion-thin-skinned
people do cry every time
they’re cut by an
angelic
comment or two
from their own little angels. Those
tiny angels aren’t devils in disguise.
They’re just kids. Angels
in training. Even
if, maybe, it does seem
remedial.
