Artist's Comment: in high school i chose to go the rotc route rather than gym and band; extremely difficult decision, either way meant gains and losses of opportunity
my personal connections - the friends i made in rotc, the discipline and team work, going on field trips overnight, leading a company on parade through the streets of downtown houston, being in charge of lowering the flag each day end of the school day my last year, and so much more, are memories and imprints i would never want to change
oh, and did i mention also being in charge of hall patrol my senior year? :-)
