Artist's Comment: inevitably, when i dive into a writing dealing with the issues of what i truly believe in, the questions of where we came from, are we souls are not, and if so what would our destiny beyond the earth be, those questions tend to turn toward a feeling that we must've known before hand we had a safe return ticket guaranteed

To Take a Gamble
Some say
life is a gamble
and we took our chances
coming to this earth anyways.
So spending money
on quick spinning wheels or
sparkly lit numbers flicking with chimes
in pre-programmed randomness,
is not much different,
except for the free
drinks.
Yet,
if we did
“take our chances”
to walk beneath the clouds and
blue skys equally,
away from
a place
we knew
was not a chance,
but more a certainty,
yet chose to do so anyway,
then we must have firmly known what we
could return to...
our own pre-programmed pre-ambled gamble.
