Artist's Comment: the impetus for this new one was simply thinking about those quick good-by kisses we give so quickly so freely when our "other" leaves us off at work, or is off to shop, or some such we assume will be a short separation before coming right back, and how, sometimes, the take-it-for-granted motion-moment hits a surprise spark reminder of why we do our quick good-by smooches :-)
this is the first poem i've ever felt bordered on being a haiku poem in the sense of it's shortness and to the point; evidently, from the little of i know of the haiku form, and my brief search of the term haiku, "bordering" may be as closes as i can claim
the poem was originally only the first 9 short lines, but, to better fit my intent, felt it needed the little closure lines plus the sub title "short & sweet"
thus my brush with haiku-ness was equally short and sweet, but as nicely memorable :-)

Special notes:
The text presented in the photo example below is how we print, a more cursive pretty font that won't reprint well here.
Also, we adjust the font size of the title, copyright, personalization, to fit both the writing itself, and the constraints of the mat opening (window) of the 8x10's we use.
