Review: ArtExpo New York 2007 Day 4

a cold driving wind began late last night, temperatures'll be dropping each day through our last full day wed, down to teens at night and 20's in the day with wind chill below zero by tuesday, cold

unfortunately sales today followed the cold and there were none; had to console myself with the optimist's fall back: "got great interest from several very promising people" who'd obviously done their homework before meeting me at the booth, had read all my artist statements on my website, seen my other images, knew my training, degrees, and family; interesting tomorrow we finish at 2, then gotta pack and create boxes to replace the unuseable box the paintings arrived in; tomorrow the short term score is in, and only the future tomorrows'll give the eventual total

also interesting that some of the big commercial booths have already put out their 1/2 price sale signs; plus some of my previous buyers came back trying to decide whether to get more, we'll see

settled for some nice basic beef rib tips, baked potato, salad, and garlic toast tonight; time to rest and prepare for the finish, but still waiting on a roll of bubble wrap being delivered tonight to help w/the reboxing; doing a show well is a full time effort to be worth it 'cause when it's done, it's done
