Artist's Comment: one of my earliest angel writings, and, along with "angel baby," my most liked
i'd wanted to express some of the merging i envisioned would apply to a love quality worth calling angelic, spiritual, yet grounded in our everyday physical lives
i wanted this poem to apply to anyone's love for another person, regardless of age, marital status, or partner preference; i've found over time i succeeded to some degree

Angel Lover
An angel lover can enjoy to lead or
follow with equal ease. An offered hand
or an attentive eye are equally a joy.
An angel lover reminds us that
differences in preferences
aren’t good or bad but
are one’s own facet
cut into the world’s
great crystal.
The light
shines uniquely
through all the sides
of this great stone. And
an angel lover touches - speaks
with both a softness and a strength.
A rock with a cotton ball touch.
Caressing our feelings and
stringing sounds of
healing throughout
our bodies.
An angel lover
cries with laughter
in youth-swept eyes before
and after. An angel lover lowers
heaven to the earth. A gentle rain forms
upon the flowers and the thorns.
All is nourished. All is well.
