A Gift for RememberingTM
Artist's Comment: this was a fun work to write; speaking w/some avid part-time or weekend golfers, i picked up on the notion of the "19th hole" and the scrappy fun time this sport can be; makes an excellent gift to any friend or person who enjoys getting out on the greens
a more serious take on golf will be posted in the future

Weekend Golfer
Hit the little ball.
Stay away from the
water, sand traps,
and caddie that stayed
out past last call.
Hit under par.
Stroke like the wind.
And hear the ball hiss
and fade like a star.
Find the wayward ball
under the brush
then work it out
to the hush of the crowd
waiting with doubt.
Then on to the 19th hole,
the hardest of all,
where all the day’s stories
and reasons and “whys”
get bundled and told.
The Weekend Golfer: mankind’s answer
why the birdies sing.

Special notes:
The text presented in the photo example below is how we print, a more cursive pretty font that won't reprint well here.
Also, we adjust the font size of the title, copyright, personalization, to fit both the writing itself, and the constraints of the mat opening (window) of the 8x10's we use.
